The Christian Hotdisc
has been launched.
For eight years Hotdisc was responsible for manufacturing and marketing
the NCM Disc run by Paul Davis and Laura Ewers.
Sadly when Paul died the family decided to close the company down, which left a big hole after eight years of releases.
But the Christian Hotdisc will be run on the same basis as
the Country
Music Hotdisc compilation album, so artists will have
another option to get their music promoted throughout Europe.
The disc will be sent out to a large number of DJs and
media people and we will provide feedback for each client.
PRICES
As for the Country Hotdisc the prices are the same - there are
seven Premier slots available at £245 (No VAT)
and the
normal slots will be £195. We will ship out to the same mailing list as the NCM compilation and we will provide
feedback
to all clients. The seven Premier cuts will feature each artist's photo on the front cover as well as being placed
in the first
seven tracks on the CD. Their details will be in larger type in the sleeve and they will have a banner advert on
our chart page.
The Christian Hotdisc Chart
Feedback from DJs and writers to our clients' music is paramount and we spend many hours putting together reaction
sheets for them all, telling them of any airplay achieved, comments and ratings. In a market place where sales
and
airplay charts are impossible to tabulate because of the lack of 24 hour Gospel radio stations and less shops selling
Gospel CDs
we at Hotdisc have chosen to produce our charts using ratings from industry professionals only. This way the artists
know
what their peers honest opinions of their songs are - something which is invaluable to effective promotion.
We are delighted to announce that the worldwide Hotdisc Christian Top 20
radio show has launched on CMR
Nashville
and will go to air at 9am every Sunday at that time
(UK time) in a one hour show presented by Stuart
Cameron.
The current edition will always be
available to listen to from our chart
page.
What You Get From Our Service
We
make your song available in CD quality
and included on the compilation album,
then sent out to our exclusive mailing
list.
We pay for the postage and packing and
provide feedback for our clients from
media people who make comments, rate
your
song and report any airplay. All songs
are eligible for the weekly Christian
Hotdisc Top 20 and the official show is
aired every
Sunday on CMR Nashville Radio in Europe
and also available from our website. You
will receive a copy of the chart every
week
to keep track on how your song is being
rated by the Christian music industry.
Our promotional package is in place to
help get artists' music to the right
people in the industry much cheaper than
an act
can do it themselves. Your contact
details and website info are printed on
the sleeve so that DJs and media people
can contact
you if they wish. Of course there are no
guarantees in this business but we get
your music out there and try to generate
airplay
and exposure. The PRS are responsible
for collecting royalties from airplay
but Hotdisc strongly condemns the PRS
for the way
they operate. Their policy of only
collecting royalties if you are played
on one specific day in a one month
period means that
airplay is rarely rewarded which is a
scandal and something we have been
campaigning against vociferously for
years and will
continue to do so, however any exposure
which leads to new people liking your
music and visiting your website to buy
product
is something positive which can happen.
