All About The RUSH RELEASED Promo CD ...
Rush Released is the new name for our
promotional CD service. We look forward to working with some of the greatest names in country music as well as
the up and coming and established independent acts from all over the world. Our target area is Europe and Australia.
Rush Released is distributed to a massive list of DJs, journalists, magazines, booking agents and other key people
in the business.
Every client receives copies of the CD
with their track on it, as well as gaining feedback on how their track is doing in terms of airplay and reaction;
We provide our clients with the most professional marketing tool in Europe. As well as having new tracks
from new acts on the CD, there are soundbites featuring some talking about their current song, which is particularly
attractive to radio DJs for use on their shows. There are also extra features including interviews, videos,
exclusive cuts not available anywhere else and other exciting features.
The Rush Released sleeve features full
writer and publishing details, direct contacts of all acts, and timings with intro and ending information for DJs
making it extremely user-friendly. We also provide DJs with a complete A-Z of every track on every Rush Release
CD to help them locate music from past editions.
The deadline for each issue is the
18th of the previous month.
The cost for a track on Rush Released
is £195 GB Pounds. We now accept Paypal as a means of payment for overseas clients only. For British
clients cheques should be made payable to Hotdisc Limited.
Rush Released Premier Slots
Any act wishing to buy one of our six
Premier slots to be included in the first six positions on the running order of the disc can benefit from extra
privileges including their colour photo on the front of the sleeve, their information highlighted in larger type on the
sleeve, a banner advert on our website for the month of the issue, plus your track streamed on our website. Note
that your song cannot be illegally downloaded.
The charge for this Premier service is
just £50 GB Pounds extra and there are only six slots available each month. These are available on a first
come, first served basis. Note that having a Premier slot has no bearing whatsoever on your Hotdisc Chart position!
Award Winning Service
The man behind Rush Released, Stuart Cameron,
has been working in country music for 30 years. He has been awarded the prestigious "Services To Country Music"
accolade at the UK RADIO COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS.
In February 2002 he won the Lone Star
State Country Music Association award which recognises his contribution made to independent music.
The ICMAG (Independent Country Music Association
of Germany) honoured him with the "Best Promoter" Award in their poll.
And in 2003 he was recognised for "International
outstanding services to Country Music" by the prestigious CMA (Country Music Association) based in Nashville.
We are committed to an exceptional customer
relations service. We aim to reply to all correspondence within 24 hours but if you do not receive a reply within
one week, please re-send as it is likely your e mail will not have got through. We can be contacted at sturadio@aol.com or country@hotdisc.net so you may wish to send a back-up copy to both addresses when you send an
e mail. Internet is fantastic but not without its faults. We take customer relations seriously and try and keep
our overseas clients in particular up to date with what is going on. Please feel free to call us or fax us if the
internet is letting you down!
Being based in Europe means that we can
offer the best possible coverage in this market. We do not cover the USA; and because we ship direct from Europe
to Europe our mailing costs are cheaper and therefore our price is very competitive.
It is also
important to note that while we generate
airplay for our clients we are NOT a royalty
collecting agent. The PRS in the UK are
responsible for collecting royalties on our
clients' behalf. Sadly their efforts
in doing so are gravely inadequate, and
despite Hotdisc appealing to PRS and writing
articles in the media to try and get their
system changed, they insist that their
ludicrous system of not paying for airplay
on 29 days in a month period or bothering
with many smaller stations, is the right
way. We strongly disagree and will continue
to strongly challenge their methods. In the
meantime we are pleased to offer a service
which is cost-effective for our clients,
which generates airplay for them and gives
them exposure they would not normally get
from our comprehensive list of DJs in
Europe.
Saturating
Europe...
One of the reasons
for our success is that we saturate the European market, giving our clients more potential airplay for a fraction
of the cost of doing it themselves, as well as saving them time by doing all the administration for them and providing
an unrivalled feedback service.
How to get
(or appear on) Rush Released ...
A lot of effort is made to provide each client with an exceptionally professional service
which they will benefit from. We actively encourage all potential clients to check us out by contacting people
who have used our service for a totally unbiased reference; a list of unsolicited references from clients are listed
on this site - just click on the References
link.
We also have Special Packages to mail out your albums for you to the top people on our
mailing list. We ship these for you at £1 per copy (in plastic wallets) or £1.50 in jewel boxes
and we will gather reaction for you from our DJs and media people.
If you are a bona fide person working in the country music industry and would like to receive Rush Released please
contact us and we will send you full details and a free sampler. Each edition is available to download on the 1st
of each month. All you send us is the reaction sheet to qualify for the next edition's password.
The Hotdisc
Charts ...
The
Hotdisc charts are compiled from DJs and industry professionals' ratings of songs currently being promoted on the
Rush Released CD. They are not airplay charts, as airplay charts cannot work in Europe as there are no terrestrial
country stations. The hundreds of country shows are likely to play a particular song only twice at
most in a three month period, therefore rendering airplay charts insignificant in Europe. It works well in America
where there are plenty of non-stop country stations but it cannot work here.
Any Airplay Chart you may see claiming to
provide this service is bogus and Hotdisc
does not condone these charts at all. They
are misleading at best for the reasons
stated.
The
Hotdisc charts are put together weekly using ratings supplied by DJs who give scores to every song on
the last three months' editions of Rush Released. The scores are averaged out per week to give
an accurate guide to the songs which are being championed by the industry. The aim is to showcase the songs
which the industry professionals are
flagging up as quality songs, which is a very useful exercise
as it is free of politics, hype and rigging and done
solely on merit!
